Message from the Assistant Principal
Welcome to the 2022-2023 School Year!
We are thrilled to begin another school year and to welcome our students, teachers, staff, and parents once more to in-person instruction! This will be a great year, as everything returns to its pre-pandemic status, and it is, most assuredly, a breath of fresh air.
Here at Zela Davis, we continue to strive for academic excellence, encourage and support students to excel socially and emotionally, and uphold our school’s mission to maximize each student’s potential.
This year, we will be implementing a new social studies curriculum, Studies Weekly. Our newly adopted social studies curriculum is aligned to the History Social Science Framework for California Public Schools Kindergarten through Grade Twelve. We are excited to delve into social studies!
Our goal continues to be to foster a sense of creativity, experimentation, and engineering mindset in every student. Parent involvement is always welcome at Zela Davis School, as the parent and school community partnership is the number one predictor of student success.
It is a privilege to serve the community as Assistant Principal at Zela Davis School! I am delighted to join the STEM Prep team, and I look forward to a successful 2022-2023 school year.
